Arizona State Football
Wednesday, July 7th, 20102008 saw a sad spectacle of Arizona State Sun Devils, finishing 4-5 in the conference and 5-7 overall. After starting the season 2-0 by beating Northern Arizona University loggers (1930-1913) and the Stanford Cardinal (41-17), the Sun Devils went on a six game slide, ending any hope of a better Bowl at the end of the season, ending his career at quarterback Rudy Carpenter on a sour note. To make matters worse, Arizona State had a chance to finish the season 6-6, even entering the game of the season final annual Wildcats against rival University of Arizona, the Cup of the territory, only to lose (10-31). 2009 is a little “a vision of hope as the Sun Devils had a strong recruitment drive enough. Third year coach Dennis Erickson was used for the signing of highly sought recruits from their glory days as national champions in Miami. This season, the Sun Devils had the opportunity to sign the home state of stand-out defensive player Devon Kennard, but lost his major conference at the University of Southern California Trojans. However, despite this loss there is hope for the coach Erickson was able to sign linebacker Vontaze Burfict, the petitioner in the great history of the school, Centennial High School in Corona, California, far from the Trojans. Burfict began to be compared with Ravens star linebacker Ray Lewis, who was the greatest player ever signed Coach Erickson. Arizona State has also had some others that give hope for next season as a starter or a backup to learn the system without the players tested, so you can start seasons to come. With 240 tackles and 34 sacks in his career three years of preparation, defensive tackle Corey Adams of Scottsdale Saguaro High School should have no problem jumping right in the mix this season to come. The Sun Devils offensive line has allowed a number of painful sacks in the last two seasons, which should allow Kody Koebensky of Scottsdale, AZ to start immediately. The location of the stand-out can play well or face guard. In general, after amassing an great recruiting class in 2008, classified as high as 16th in the nation, Erickson was able to put another excellent group of newcomers made up of athletes from Arizona, California, Colorado, Montana and Utah. new group consists of 21 student athletes Ericksons, composed of 19 high school players and two junior college transfers, while the excellent talent, speed and athleticism has improved in all crew positions. Nine of these players ranked in the TOP 30 the nation at their positions. Even with any program there are growing pains as players graduate or leave early for the project, this season promises to be one of the promises. Of course, perhaps not jumping to the top 25, but it least better than last season and hopefully a ramp in the right direction. Behind the leadership of Dennis Erickson, the group of young talent has nowhere to go but up.
